Buick Refreshes Their Brand
Buick’s hard work over recent years to really dig into making their brand fresh, reliable and desirable is beautifully showcased with their new 2017 lineup. With the recent news that Buick ranks highest in sales satisfaction among mass market brands
for 2016 according to J.D. Power, everything points towards the 2017 model year being the best in the luxury carmaker’s recent history.
What’s New with the Buick Brand?
For starters, Buick’s flagship LaCrosse sedan
has undergone a complete overhaul, with the 2017 model being offered on only one powertrain but featuring a brand new 3.6-liter V6 engine and eight-speed automatic transmission for greater power and punch. The exterior offers sleek but sharp lines that convey a sense of prowess and athleticism unlike ever before. Buyers can also opt for all-wheel drive and choose from four different trim levels: base, Preferred, Essence and Premium.
Also in the sedan lineup, the 2017 Regal hits showroom floors in three new exterior colors: Black Cherry Metallic, Pepperdust Metallic and Graphite Gray Metallic. It’s also seeing a boost in estimated miles per gallon, up to 30 from the 2016’s 27.
The 2017 Verano sedan is staying fairly identical to its 2016 counterpart, which is understandable since the model has ceased production and will be phased out in North America.
The 2017 Cascada convertible is getting a higher level of treatment; with a new Sport Touring trim level option that features special 20-inch, five-spoke wheels in the brand new True Blue Metallic exterior color, an exclusive Buick Sport Touring shade.
For the SUV lineup, the 2017 Encore receives a major exterior update from the previous model year, sporting a slimmer grille, angular headlamps and aggressive 18-inch, 10-spoke aluminum wheels. The starting price is also lower than last year’s.
The 2017 Envision
is having its lineup expanded to include Preferred and Essence trim levels, in addition to the Premium I and Premium II. The base model now features a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine, meaning the Envision lineup starts out about $8,000 less than the 2016 model year’s base option. Additionally, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto features are added, and a new Chili Red Metallic exterior color is available.
Lastly, the 2017 Enclave
is receiving a Sport Touring trim level that boasts a unique Satin Black Ice grille and wheel designs available in three exterior hues: White Frost Tricoat, Crimson Red Metallic and Ebony Twilight Metallic.
