At Anthony Buick GMC
, we know that when you buy a Buick, you buy a vehicle that’s made to last. And now, that reputation earns another feather in its cap as the 2017 J.D. Power Dependability Study recently ranked Buick at fourth place overall, making it the highest ranked American brand on the list. The study examines owner experiences with new vehicles
over a period of three years and tallies up any reported problem.
The top American automaker on the list
According to GM Authority, Buick owners reported 126 problems per 100 vehicles, coming in close on the heels of Toyota at 123 problems per 100 vehicles. Buick edged out Chevrolet, Honda and BMW, with both GM brands, Buick and Chevrolet, coming out well ahead of the industry average of 156 problems per 100 vehicles.
J.D. Power gave the Buick Encore
, Buick LaCrosse and Buick Verano segment awards for their outstanding dependability. The marketing information company theorizes that all of the ranked carmakers will benefit from their respective recognition.
“Dependability has a direct impact on purchase decisions and brand loyalty,” states J.D. Power.
This comes after Buick took third place in Consumer Reports’ Annual Auto Reliability Survey this past fall, making it the first American automotive brand to crack the top three since the third party company began measuring data in the 1980s.
Dependability builds customer loyalty
“Quality ranks as one of the top considerations for new car buyers, so our reliability ranking is great validations based in real customer data,” says Duncan Aldred, Vice President of Global Buick Sales, Service and Marketing. “Top reliability means Buick owners are spending more of their time meeting obligations at work and at home—a luxury in the modern world. Giving customers that sense of well-being is core to our brand promise.”
And not only is the Buick brand dependable, but it’s safe, too. Buick’s all-new 2017 LaCrosse
sedan recently earned the highest five-star Overall Vehicle Score for safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, giving Buick a NHTSA five-star sweep for all of its premium vehicles for the third year in a row.
If you haven’t checked out the strides the Buick brand has taken in the last few years, this year’s lineup poses a great chance. From the flagship 2017 Buick LaCrosse sedan
to the popular 2017 Buick Encore crossover
, there’s a Buick model fit for everyone.
