When it comes to reliability, critics and fans agree: you just can’t beat a Buick. This year, Buick was honored with a high-ranking spot on Consumer Reports magazine’s list of most reliable brands.
Consumer Reports’ highly-influential reliability survey found that participants rated Buick highly among the GM brands thanks to the “much better than average” reliability of the Buick Encore and the “better than average” reliability of the Cascada convertible and Envision compact SUV. Although the recognition is fantastic and Buick is thrilled to receive attention for its fantastic vehicles, Buick dealers across the nation know that the brand’s high ranking comes as no surprise.
Consumer Reports’ Auto Reliability Survey gathered information from drivers of more than 640,000 vehicles. The results were announced at a news conference with the Automotive Press Association in Detroit, MI. Over 300 models were ranked and scored and the final list was published in the December 2017 issue of Consumer Reports magazine. Vehicles were rated by drivers on a 0-100 point scale which calculated the total Predicted Reliability Score. An average rating fell between 41 and 60 points.
Overall, the 2018 Buick Encore was ranked Buick’s most reliable vehicle in the survey.
Out of all the current Buick models for sale, the 2018 Buick Encore is by far the most beautifully refined, expertly designed and remarkably powerful vehicle available today. With its exceptional maneuverability and out-of-this-world fuel efficiency, Buick dealers can barely keep up with the demand for the new Encore.
The 2018 Encore comes with a base 138-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine with an optional 153-hp engine upgrade. But the vehicle’s interior is really where it shines. Even the Encore’s most basic trim level is astonishingly elegant, but with the Essence trim level upgrade you’ll enjoy an array of modern comforts including a heated steering wheel, heated seats, leather seating and extra safety features. The vehicle is currently offered in a total of six trim levels: 1SV, Preferred, Sport Touring, Preferred II, Essence and Premium.
Lower end trim models come standard with the turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder 138-hp/148 lb-ft engine paired to a six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. The Sport Touring trim level and all the levels above that come with the 1.4-liter 153-hp/177 lb-ft engine.
All 2018 Encore models come with a full tech suite, including OnStar, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Drivers and passengers will enjoy Wi-Fi hotspot connectivity too. And, of course, you know you can always count on the Encore’s superior reliability to get you where you’re going with peace of mind.
